Hike from Machu Picchu to Mandor 2 Days / 1 Night


On this day we will pick you up very early yo take you to the train station, that will take you to the town of Aguas Calientes and from there we will go to Machu Picchu. The trip is approximately 4 hours, but you’ll never get bored with all the different type of scenery mother earth has to offer you on the way. Once we arrive to the town of Aguas Calientes, also known as Machu Picchu Pueblo, we will accommodate ourselves  on our hotel of choosing. It is advisable no to hike Machu Picchu immediately because at that time it will be very crowded with visitors, contrary we suggest to plan our own activities with the following places to visit:

MANDOR: Botanical garden at the end of the walk that will give us the opportunity to appreciate the 5 meter waterfall, besides enjoying the benefits of a natural pool at the base of the waterfall.

PUTUKUSI: Mountain located on the side of the town with a preferred position to Machu Picchu from which in addition to an interesting walk you can also take interesting pictures.

HOT SPRINGS: Located on the same town with thermal waters; Machu Picchu hotel has a beautiful collection of orquídeas and other plants you can explore.


We will hop on an early bus that will take us up to the historic sanctuary of Machu Picchu, the approximately time of our tour is going to be between 2 hours to 2 hours and a half, in which you will be able to visit: The Main Plaza (la plaza principal), the Intihuatana, El cuarto de los morteros, The tire windowed temple (El templo de las tres ventanas), The condor’s temple (El templo del cóndor) and many more of Machu Picchu’s important sites; Then you will have free time to explore more of Machu Picchu or do some of the extra activities we recommend like:

WAYNA PICCHU: The Mountain you see in the background of every typical Machu Picchu picture, you can hike this mountain at early hours in which you can take the basic route of the expense that takes you to appreciate other additional Inca constructions where you can see The Moon Temple.

INTI PUNKU: Also known as the Sun Gate which you can find if you take the return route to the Inca trail. We will then go back to the town of Aguas Calientes, we will have our lunch and then according to our train program we will head to Ollantaytambo where a bus will be waiting for us to take us back to the city of Cusco.
