Salkantay Trek 05 days and 04 nights

Salkantay Trek 05 Days and 04 Nights

It is a hike easily accessible to all, without limitations or permits required (at least for the moment) next to the town of Mollepata, Cusco with Machu Picchu, Salkantay Trek are ancient treasures and off the traditional route located in the same area, such as the Inca Trail, where you can observe large snow-capped icy mountains that conjugate with the abundant rainforest.

The name of this mountain of Salkantay Trek is a contraction that comes from Salqa that means sullen, wild and Antay that means to produce celajes or avalanches. This is an alternative route to the Inca Trail, for those who did not get spaces, we have considered this route as one of the best alternatives, because throughout this journey we can appreciate the flora, fauna and tranquility that one needs to reflect and be in contact with nature around us.

The Salkantay mountain has an altitude of 6,450 meters above sea level and Machu Picchu is located at 2,250 meters above sea level.
