“Inca Jungle to Machu Picchu” is an adventure tour that includes bus excursion, biking, hiking, and optionally canoeing. It is focused on adventurers determined to get to Machu Picchu through part of the Inca Trail and performing extreme adventures enjoying the landscapes of the Peruvian Andes near Machu Picchu.

Itinerary
Machu Picchu Peru Tours will pick you up from your hostel at 05:30 am and then we will start our Inca Jungle to Machu Picchu tour for approximately 3 1/2 hours, passing through different microclimates and beautiful landscapes along the Sacred Valley of the Incas, arriving at the highest point Abra Malaga (4350 m.a.s.l.).
This is the starting point, which was chosen to make the descent by bike for about 3 hours.
At the time of making the descent by bicycle, we will pass through different ecosystems that characterize the Andes and the jungle, this activity concludes in the town of Huamanmarka, where we will take our lunch.
After lunch, our trip continues to Santa Maria, where there is the possibility that passengers can perform this adventure sport (optional canoeing) for 2 hrs in the Urubamba River at an altitude of 1200 meters above sea level.
At the end of this adventure, we will return to take our mobility to go to the sector of San Pablo place, here we will begin our walk for 1 hour to reach our lodge where we will spend our first night. end of the first day of the Inca Jungle to Machu Picchu.
This day we will wake up at 07:00 am to enjoy a good organic breakfast.
We will start with a hike into the jungle observing different varieties of plants and birds of the area such as orchids, local fruits, coca leaf, cocoa, orange, etc. reaching an altitude of 1720 meters above sea level.
Throughout this trekking route, we will hike part of the Inca trail of approximately 1 ½ hours to the top of the jungle with its fantastic panoramic views.
We will arrive at the village of Quellomayo where we will enjoy a delicious lunch.
Then we continue our journey until we reach the thermal baths of Santa Teresa (Cocalmayo) in this place we will have 2:30 hours approximately to relax.
At sunset we will continue with the walk to the town of Santa Teresa (walking time 40 minutes). Arrival to Santa Teresa and overnight.
End of the second day Inca Jungle to Machu Picchu.
Today we will wake up very early to have a delicious breakfast and continue with the trek, prior to this trekking, our guide will give us the option to take this adventure sport (Zip Line or Canopy, optional tour), in case of not taking this option we will continue our travels until we arrive to hydroelectric, place of control and lunch for the group.
After our rest we continue our trek until we reach the town of Aguas Calientes (Machu Picchu) (Dinner and overnight). End of the third day Inca Jungle to Machu Picchu.
Finally, the day awaited for all of us, unlike the other days, this day we will wake up at 04:00 am, to start the hike to the Inca Citadel of Machu Picchu, to observe the sunrise. The ascent takes 1 hour and 45 minutes.
Once we are in the archaeological park, our guide will give us a 2-hour briefing and we will visit the most important places of the Sanctuary such as the Main Square, the Circular Tower, the Solar Clock, the Royal Quarters, the Temple of the Three Windows, the Royal Cemeteries and much more.
Then you will have free time to continue exploring, take your best pictures, and enjoy the surrounding landscape. At a convenient time, you will take the bus down to Aguas Calientes.
You will have the afternoon to have lunch at leisure, to visit the thermal baths, or to stroll around the village and visit the handicraft market.
At 6:30 p.m. you will take the train back to Ollantaytambo train station, this trip takes about 2 hours.
Then we will continue with the bus trip that will bring you back to the city of Cusco, arriving around 22:30 hours. This is the end of our Inca Jungle to Machu Picchu 4 Days – 3 Nights excursion.
