Start of the Humantay Lake Full Day
Important: The schedules are referential, one day before the tour our operations team will contact you the day before to reconfirm the schedules.
The Humantay Lake Tour starts from the door of your hotel in the center of Cusco (historic center) and ends in the center of Cusco, Plaza Recocijo or Plaza San Francisco.
Between 04:00 am to 04:30 am we will be passing through the doors of your hotels, if you are in a remotw area or Airbnd we will agree on the meeting point to depart from Cusco at 05:00am.
After a trip of Almost 2 and half hours after leaving Cusco, our first destination will be the town of Mollepata. Here we can enjoy a delicious Andean breakfasr at more than 3000 meters of Altitude. It is important to remember that we will be in a community very far from Cusco and we will not have the comforts of a city restaurant.
- After breakfast, we will return to our bus to continue the incredible tour to the Humantay Lagoon and thus be able to observe the beautiful landscapes and ravines on the way to Soraypampa, where oue walk will begin.
- Soraypampa: our guide will give us enough time to prepare our equipment such as walking sticks, water, personal backpacks, etc.
- We will begin with our walk to the Humantay Lake at an altitude of 4, 250 meters above sea level. Our ascent lasts approximately an hour and a half until we reach the Humantay Lake.
- Upon arriving at this beautiful lake, you will have all the time necessary to enjoy the natural beauty that surrounds it, take photographs, videos and also recharge from the energy that the Nevado Salkantay has.
- After all this beautiful adventure, we will return to where our bus left us in Soraypampa.
- We will continue the trip and go to Mollepata where we will enjoy our lunch and after that we will return to Cusco, arriving in the city at approximately 6:30 p.m.

How long does the trek to Humantay Lake?
This trek to the Humantay Lake can take between 2 to 2 hours and a half if your pace is slow. Although it is also possible to reduce this amount of time if you opt for the horses that are rented at the foot of the mountain.

Climbing this mountain has a medium difficulty, it is not as hard as the Salkantay trek.
What is our cancellation policy?
For cancellations made 30 days or less, prior to the travel date, 100% of the tour cost will be forfeited. For cancellations made 31 days or more prior to the travel date, cancellation fees may vary depending on departure and tour. Please consult with our travel agent for specific information.
