Maras Moray + Picnic with Llamas

06h30 Departure from Cusco

We begin the Maras Moray and Picnic with llamas tour with pick-up from your hotel in the center of Cusco between 06:00 and 06:30. We can also coordinate a meeting point if your hotel is not in the downtown.

08h00 approx Chincheros Textile Center 

We will have a first stop in Chinchero,  a magical town where we will immerse ourselves in its textile legacy, unique the famous in the region of Cusco and Peru. We will visit a textile complex to learn about traditional weaving techniques as well as fascinating local customs.

10h00 approx Moray platforms

Now we will visit Moray, this archaeological site was used by the Incas to experiment with different crops thanks to the creation of microclimates at the different heights of the platforms.

11h30 approx Salineras de Maras

The Maras Moray Salineras, Located at 3,380 meters above sea level.

This unique place is home to thousands of salt wells that are extracted by hand, using the same technique from Inca times. Immerse yourself in the history and beauty of this site while enjoying the panoramic views.

PICNIC WITH LLAMAS AND ALPACAS 

12h30 approx Welcome and accommodation

After exploring these wonders, we will take a break and go to a special place to enjoy a private picnic in the middle of nature where you will enjoy a table that includes: Cheese board, nuts, sourdough bread, fruit,  seasonal juice, hot drinks, water, coffee and wine, and a spectacular view of the Veronica apu.

15h00 approx. Departure from Maras to Cusco

Finally, we will embark back to the City of Cusco.
